music magazine questionnaire responses

Although 4 more boys answered my questionnaire than girls, I am going to aim my music magazine at mainly 13-18 aged females. This is because I feel I can target girls easier because I understand their likes and interests more than I do boys. I will aim the content at 13-18 year olds because these are the ages that are most into the latest trends and music. Also, these are the ages that answered my questionnaire the most and so I will know their requirements. The most popular genre of music is RnB and Pop. Taking this into consideration, I'll make my magazine based on these two categories to appeal to my audience. It's also the type of music i know lots about and listen to regularly so I feel it would be the best choice for me to make my product on. Although most of my questionnaire results preferred a magazine to be published fortnightly, I will ensure that it's a monthly published magazine. My reasons for this is because more can happen in the music industry in a month than in a fortnight. This way there will be more to read, and the readers wont get bored because there will be fresh, advanced information every month. Also, leaving it a month before releasing a new edition can leave the public wanting more and becoming loyal to my magazine. A risk here is that they will get bored waiting and buy a magazine that's released more often. To avoid this I'll make my publication different from the others and hopefully better. 86.7% of the people that answered my questionnaire like freebees, therefore I will definitely include free things in my magazine because everyone likes free things and I need to appeal to their preferences. The most popular colours for the front of my magazine are grey, black and white. These are all very plain, and aren't aimed at any particular gender so would be good for the front of my magazine to make it neutral. To ensure to appeal to my audience I will make the main image black and white because this seems to be the attraction. Having all dull colours won't make it stand out though, so I have decided to include the fourth popular colour, blue. This might change to green depending on which looks better when I make the product but I feel having at least one bright colour might make it more striking. Upcoming events and charts were the most popular for the content of my magazine, so I will include these within my product to make it appealing and so more people buy it. Most people voted Yes on the multi platform question, so I will ensure that my magazine will be purchasable online as well as print. I've chosen it to be online because nowadays young people typically use their tablets and handheld electronic devices to read. Lastly, I will make my magazine £2. This is to compete with other magazines because usually they are around £2.50. This way, the audience will think see it's cheaper and buy mine instead of theirs. Also, I feel it is a considerable price considering the content.
